Privacy

Umbrello works without an account or registration. We don't ask for, and must not be sent, passwords, recovery codes, account identifiers, children's names, dates of birth, addresses or private conversations.

We don't run forms, accounts or mailing lists on this website, and we don't collect your check-up answers anywhere. The only way to reach us is email: hello@umbrello.me. If you write to us, your message is handled as ordinary email — it passes through your email provider and ours, and we use it only to reply or to act on what you've told us.

By default, your check-up answers and checklist progress stay in this browser for the current session and are not sent to us. If you switch on "Save on this device" — which is off by default — they are stored in this browser so they last between visits. Anyone using this browser may be able to see this checklist. The same preference applies to both answers and progress, and the clear-data control on the check-up page removes everything Umbrello saved on that device.

Guide checklists follow the same approach: they stay in this browser for the current session only.

For the full detail of what is stored in your browser and for how long, see Cookies and browser storage. In short: no advertising trackers, marketing analytics or optional cookies, and no consent banner is needed for optional storage because none is loaded.

Umbrello is hosted by a third-party platform. Like nearly all websites, the hosting platform processes standard technical information (such as IP addresses and device details) needed to deliver and secure the service. The exact scope and retention of that processing isn't published in a form we can verify, so we've flagged it as unconfirmed rather than guessing.

Details of the legal operator of this service are still being prepared and aren't published yet. We'll keep this notice in step with how the site actually works and update it as those details are confirmed.
